A2 Envelopes
from Vintage Dictionary Pages
Caleb has this vintage dictionary that is literally in pieces, missing pages, and otheriwse unusable as a dictionary. So page by page I'm making them into A2 envelopes. Adorable!!

As soon as I saw a friend post this photo of her pond on Facebook I knew I had to paint it. She was just as enthused about the idea and gave me full permission.

Outfit
When I worked at Borders as their Paperchase manager, all my product arrived secured with rubber bands. By the end of each shift my arm was a solid mass of beige from the wrist to the elbow. I hated to throw the beige bangles away, but what to do with them?
Braid them into a skirt, of course. Duh.
I think when I'm done with the skirt I'm going to make a shirt out of paperclips or sewn-together post-it notes.
Ideas I'm Toying With
Obtaining some sort of exotic paper in roll form and hand-writing (and elaboratly hand-decorating) the books of the Bible, one book per scroll. Considering using fabric instead of paper and sewing the words instead of hand-writing, and embellishing with beads and all sorts. Obviously either way a meditative, probably life-long project.
Finishing my Akika story. I also want to illustrate it (already did one painting, Bongo the Octopus) and also do an elaborate hand-written copy with the original illustrations included.
Now I've never made-up a sewing pattern, but I bet there's a cool way to take XXL tees and make them into a fitted, mid-length dress. Wouldn't that be COMFORTABLE?
Positively itching for a garden ... my favorite plants are mosses, succulents, willows, lilies (aquatic and terrestrial), orchids, Japanese Maples, lichens and anything red or yellow. But I don't own a square-inch of earth. Enter the succulent/ moss/ lichen garden. So far I have a dollar-store 5"-deep aluminum pan that I painted white on the outside. Such pompus beginnings, I know. Now I need awesome lichen-covered rocks, a handful of gleaned mosses, chick-n-hen cuttings and a tiny water pump. I just need more visual inspiration ...
